Downtown Durham
I just posted some black and white pictures I took around downtown Durham back in March. These were shot with my Nikon FM with Ilford HP5 black and white film. In January, I bought an Epson Perfection V350 Photo, a flatbed scanner with a transparency unit for scanning 35mm film. I am experimenting with only having my film developed and scanning it myself rather than having it digitized or making prints. It is a little time consuming, but I enjoy having more control over my images. The photo lab has a tendency to give me prints of landscape scenes with skies that look a little overexposed. It’s not very hard to correct this if you get to adjust the levels yourself. You can see the rest of the pictures here.
